ABSTRACT: Translation is the tool of exchanging knowledge among the nations. It is consider also the act of rendering the language to another one. In other word, it is the substitution of the textual of one language with the equivalent text of another. Basically, this research is handling the literary translation which shortens the bridges between cultures and languages and allows for a universal understanding of human beings across national borders. A literary translation is the translation of literature such as novels, poems, plays and short stories. Actually, Due to the differences and the huge gap between the two languages, Arabic and English, literary translation is the most difficult and demanding type of translation
